Lacroix going bankrupt is terrible news. I shall always equate those wonderful clothes with Absolutely Fabulous and Edie running around shouting "la cwaw!!!!" Oh le sigh. T'is a sad day indeed when one of (if not the) last real couture designers is having severe financial trouble (But aren't we all? I couldn't barely afford my warm brie and apples platter last night from 49 West). Quelle depression!

Sorry for the serious lack of postage. My computer crashed while I was in the depths of a great and terrible illness. Things shall be slow for a little bit, but never fear I am still here. Feel free to e-mail me at leithisstartingtherevolution@gmail.com.

'Cause I'm Like That
If you know me, you know that I own probably one pair of socks because I generally just wear flats or heels.Okay, so I own multiple pairs of Betsey Johnson knee-highs but those hardly ever see more than the inside of my boots.
Anyways, I am seriously digging Nylon for Nike's sneakers and I might just have to buy a pair and wear them with my hot pink knee-highs. Not that I've worn a pair of sneakers in ages. Actually, I believe that I exercised in a pair of $3 Keds a few weeks ago. And by exercise I mean I took out the recycling.

I'm Cool, We're Cool, You're Not Cool
I wasn't that thrilled with Kim Gordon's Mirror/Dash line at first. Then I saw this dress. I hate that Urban Outfitters decided to pair it with this belt but the dress itself is wonderful. The print and the draping are perfect, very Diane Von Furstenberg if she were designing a collection for H & M. I would probably wear it with my big black Coach wedges and in my dreams these Fendi sandals.I'm just waiting for Whitney to wear it on The City with some wonderfully high heels. $88

Advice From Karl
The Cut (I know, I'm just stealing everything from them today) featured an interview with Sigrid Agren and Karl Lagerfeld. Karl, as always, was filled with wisdom:...I'm very impeccable and clean before I go to bed. It’s just like right before I’m going out. When I was a child, my mother always told me that you could wake up in the middle of the night and be deathly sick, so you always have to be impeccable. I laugh about it now, but I think everyone should go to bed like they have a date at the door.
All I can say is, I love you Karl Lagerfeld.

A Diva is the Female Version of a Hustler
Look at this fucking hipster is quite possibly my new favorite website. Maybe I'm just tired and in a bad mood but it's like lookbook.nu with out all the hero worship. If you spend so much time on your appearance please at least look clean. I know, I'm probably alienation 90% of my audience here but has that ever stopped me before?via The Cut

Happy at Home
Adam Wallacavage's Octopus Chandeliers are so spooky and amazing. I hope that John Waters is hold up in some Baltimore mansion with one of these in every room. They are very Sponge Bob meets The Little Mermaid meets Marilyn Manson. I've always had a bit of a crush on sea monsters.Via NylonBlogs

Blair Would NEVER EVER Approve of This
Amanda sent this to me. Everything about this is wrong. It's not even a well made skirt. The patterns are awful together. Ed Westwick looks so much better in a nicely fitted suit. This isn't Seattle nor is it 1997. via 2 Hot 2 Handle

Oh, I got a tumblr. I don't think that I'll be officially linking it, so think of this as an early adopter perk for you You Know You Love It readers.
So Many Questions
Would you wear this Marni floral necklace? It seems a bit fussy and kind of reminiscent of that DVF floral headband that Whitney Port (unsuccessfully and famously) wore. The flowers are gorgeous and incredibly well made but I can't help but think that I would feel 100% ridiculous if I were to wear it. What clothes would you even pair it with? I think it is rather unsuccessful with this dress and purse. I'm sure Peaches Geldof or Cory Kennedy will be spotted wearing this with righteously dirty hair and torn panty hose. Oooh my, I can't wait until Forever 21 makes a knock-off... Marni floral necklace, $1,350

Kinda Like Erin Wasson, But With More Showers
Yesterday I cleared out about 1/3 of my wardrobe. I said goodbye to countless t-shirts and a few Heatherette items whose sequins have fallen off. Also a few dresses that never, ever saw the light of day (for good reason). As a reward, I think I that I should get some shoes.
I just might get these for prom, floor length black deserves color and shine. Also, the t-straps will go with the fingerwaves I've been contemplating. Or maybe I'll do a Holly Golightly French twist. Christian Louboutin T-Bar sandals, $865
So she might not be anywhere if her dad wasn't a Beatle but I love Stella McCartney. Her shoes have been hit or miss with me lately, but these are most certainly a hit. Spectator pumps, $645
These are even more perfect for prom. Glitter shoes are hard to pull off. So many times they look cheap and disgusting, granted I haven't seen these in person but the various types of sequins and glitter on these pumps take them to the next level. LOVE! Jean-Michel Cazabat open toe pumps, $650
These are just up here because I saw so many Tory Burch flip-flops today I thought that I was going to go blind. Loeffler Randal sandals, $450

Live Blogging Gossip Girl Part 1
Welcome to the first of (hopefully) many installments of live blogging Gossip Girl here on You Know You Love It. I did a practice version last Monday but unfortunately twitter lost half of my tweets, alas I may have to give in and get twitterberry after all. Anyways, check the space below (or just go to my twitter) and feel free to comment!
